Filip Horanský (born January 7, 1993 in Piešťany ) is a Slovak tennis player .

life and career

With Jozef Kovalík , Filip Horanský won the bronze medal in doubles at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Singapore . He also won the junior doubles title at the 2011 Australian Open with Jiří Veselý .

He mainly plays on the ATP Challenger Tour and the ITF Future Tour . In 2014 he celebrated three individual victories on the Future Tour: in Pitești in Romania , in Curtea de Arges and in Mediaș . Horanský won the Slovak championship title in 2014 with the team TK Kúpele Piešťany . He has been playing in the 1st Bundesliga for the Rochusclub Düsseldorf since 2014 .

He won his first title on the Challenger Tour in Meerbusch in August 2018 . In the final he prevailed against the German Jan Choinski in three sets . After this success, he made it into the top 200 of the world rankings for the first time with 196th place .
