Sander Gillé (born January 15, 1991 in Hasselt ) is a Belgian tennis player who specializes in doubles .
Career
Sander Gillé has mainly played on the ATP Challenger Tour so far . In August 2016 he achieved his first tournament success on this tour when he won the doubles competition in Trnava with his partner Joran Viegen . In the 2017 season he secured four more titles with Joran Viegen. In June and July they won the tournaments in Blois , Lyon , Scheveningen and Tampere . With Sander Arends he also won in Brescia . In 2018, titles followed, again with Joran Viegen, in Rennes , Prague , Liberec , Pullach , Ortisei in Val Gardena , Brest and Mouilleron-le-Captif . The following year the next title on the Challenger Tour was won in Bratislava in June in Bratislava , before the two won their first title on the ATP Tour in Båstad in July . Just a week later, the second title win followed in Gstaad . Previously, Gillé and Viegen had reached the second round in their Grand Slam debut at Wimbledon .
In 2018 he made his debut for the Belgian Davis Cup team .
