Joran Viegen (born July 7, 1993 in Maaseik ) is a Belgian tennis player who specializes in doubles .
Career
Joran Viegen was active in college tennis for East Carolina University . In December 2013, he completed an economics degree with a bachelor's degree and then completed an MBA course .
In professional tennis, he has so far mainly played on the ATP Challenger Tour . In August 2016 he achieved his first tournament success on this tour when he won the doubles competition in Trnava with his partner Sander Gillé . In the 2017 season he secured four more titles with Gillé. In June and July they won the tournaments in Blois , Lyon , Scheveningen and Tampere . In 2018 he won titles in Rennes , Prague , Liberec , Pullach , Ortisei in Val Gardena , Brest and Mouilleron-le-Captif . The following year, Gillé won the next title on the Challenger Tour in Bratislava in June , before the two won a title on the ATP Tour for the first time in Båstad in July . Just a week later, the second title win followed in Gstaad . Previously, Viegen and Gillé had reached the second round in their Grand Slam debut at Wimbledon .
In 2018 he made his debut for the Belgian Davis Cup team .
