Fernando Romboli (born January 4, 1989 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a Brazilian tennis player .

Career

Fernando Romboli mainly plays on the ATP Challenger Tour and the ITF Future Tour . So far he has celebrated ten single and 22 double victories on the ITF Future Tour. So far he has won five doubles tournaments on the ATP Challenger Tour. On October 31, 2011, he broke through the top 200 in the world rankings in doubles for the first time and his highest ranking was a 153rd place in March 2012.

On July 11, 2012, Fernando Romboli tested positive in a doping test at the tournament in Bogotá . He stated that the substances found were contained in drugs prescribed by a doctor and that he had no intention of improving performance. Due to his cooperation in the course of the positive test, he was only banned for eight and a half months, which came into effect for the period from September 1, 2012 to May 15, 2013.
