Juan Sebastián Gómez (born March 5, 1992 in Bogotá ) is a Colombian tennis player .

Career

Gómez mainly plays on the ITF Future Tour and the ATP Challenger Tour . So far he has won five double titles on the Future Tour.

Gómez won the 2010 Summer Youth Olympic Games in tennis singles against Yuki Bhambri , who gave up at 6: 7 (4: 7), 7: 6 (7: 4), 4: 1.

In 2011 he achieved his first double tournament victory on the Challenger Tour in Quito . Four years later he again reached a final in Pereira in doubles .

In 2015 he made his debut on the ATP World Tour at the Claro Open Colombia in Bogotá with a wildcard . With his partner Eduardo Struvay he defeated Andrés Molteni and Hans Podlipnik-Castillo in two sets in the opening round , before the pairing in the quarter-finals to Mate Pavić and Michael Venus, who were seeded three, 6: 2, 3: 6, [5:10] failed.
