João Domingues (born October 5, 1993 in Oliveira de Azeméis ) is a Portuguese tennis player .

Career

Domingues mainly plays on the ITF Future Tour and the ATP Challenger Tour .

In 2015 he made his debut in doubles on the ATP World Tour in Estoril at the Millennium Estoril Open with a wildcard . With Pedro Sousa as a partner, he lost in the opening round to Treat Huey and Scott Lipsky 3: 6, 0: 6. He won his first title on the Challenger Tour in Mestre when he won against Sebastian Ofner in straight sets.

In 2015 he made his debut for the Portuguese Davis Cup team . He won against Mehdi Jdi in straight sets in the already decided encounter against Morocco .
