Mount McClung is a 862 m high mountain in Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . It rises 3 km southeast of Mount González in the Sarnoff Mountains of the Ford Ranges .
He was discovered by participants in the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941). The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1966 after Lieutenant Herbert C. McClung (* 1938) of the United States Navy , officer on duty at Byrd Station in 1965.
