Nathaniel Lammons (born August 12, 1993 in Arlington , Texas ) is an American tennis player who is particularly successful in doubles.

Career

From 2012 to 2016, Lammons studied before his tennis career at Southern Methodist University , where he also played college tennis on the college team .

In 2015, Lammons took part in profile tournaments in the third highest tournament category, the ITF Future Tour , for the first time. In 2016 he won his first two doubles titles there and ended the year at 762th in the world rankings . While he won another seven futures in doubles in the following year and was henceforth able to take part in tournaments in the next higher tournament category of the ATP Challenger Tour and finished the year in 202nd place on the ranking list, he only won a few matches in singles and henceforth played less. His best placement in the individual is a 910th place in July 2017.

After reaching some semi-finals at Challenger 2018 a. a. with Alex Lawson and Robert Galloway as partners, Lammons had the most success with Ruben Gonzales . With him he reached three semi-finals, a final in Sopot and finally won the tournament in Scheveningen . With Galloway as a partner, he also moved into the main field of the US Open and thus celebrated his debut in a Grand Slam tournament . At the start they defeated Kevin Kim and Reilly Opelka in straight sets and then lost to Ivan Dodig and Marcel Granollers . After the tournament, Lammons reached a new high in the world rankings with rank 120.
