Alex Lawson (born January 31, 1994 in Tempe , Arizona ) is an American tennis player .

Career

Lawson played college tennis at the University of Notre Dame for four years before embarking on a career as a professional tennis player.

Lawson first played professional tennis in 2016 . He made his debut on the ATP World Tour in Newport through a wildcard . At the side of Mackenzie McDonald he lost his opening game against the brothers Ken and Neal Skupski 6: 7, 6: 7. In addition, he reached three finals on the ITF Future Tour in doubles as well as two semi-finals in Winnetka and Champain on the ATP Challenger Tour , whereas Lawson has not yet won a single match. His best result in doubles was on November 21, 2016 with a 404th place.

In July 2018, Lawson won his first title on the Challenger Tour in Granby . With Li Zhe he prevailed in the final in two sets against JC Aragone and Liam Broady .
