Mackenzie McDonald (born April 16, 1995 in Berkeley , California ) is an American tennis player .
Career
Mackenzie McDonald mainly plays on the ATP Challenger Tour and the ITF Future Tour . So far he has celebrated two double victories on the Future Tour. On the Challenger Tour he won his first individual title in Fairfield by beating Bradley Klahn in the final .
He made his debut on the ATP World Tour in 2013 at the Masters tournament in Cincinnati , where he qualified for the main draw via the qualifying rounds . He lost there his first round encounter against David Goffin with 1: 6 and 1: 6. A year later he received a wild card for the double competition at the same tournament in Cincinnati . He thus competed alongside Tim Smyczek in the first round against the duo Steve Johnson and Sam Querrey . The match was clearly lost. In 2016 he won his first Challenger tournament alongside Brian Baker in Fairfield . In October 2017, he achieved his best individual placement with rank 164.
