Jordan Thompson (born April 20, 1994 in Sydney , New South Wales ) is an Australian tennis player .
Career
Jordan Thompson mainly plays on the ATP Challenger Tour and the ITF Future Tour . So far he has celebrated two single and four double victories on the Future Tour.
He made his debut in singles on the ATP World Tour in January 2014 at the Australian Open , where he failed in the first main round against Jerzy Janowicz . He made his first appearance on the World Tour level in doubles together with Benjamin Mitchell , with whom he formed a doubles pair, also at the Australian Open in Melbourne in January 2014. Here they won their first round game against Carlos Berlocq and Alejandro González before they failed in round two to the eventual winners Łukasz Kubot and Robert Lindstedt .
In 2017 he made his debut for the Australian Davis Cup team . He won his debut game against Jiří Veselý in the encounter against the Czech Republic without losing a set.
