history

In 1399 a church was mentioned in a document. The church was a branch of the parish church Eibiswald . The current church was built between 1723 and 1728 and in 1783 elevated to a parish church. In 1981 there was an exterior restoration.

architecture

The uniform baroque church building has a three-bay nave and a one-bay lower choir with a thirteenth-a-quarter section. The slightly adjusted five-story west tower has an onion helmet. To the south of the choir is a sacristy with an oratory above. The west portal shows the year 1723. The facade is structured with plaster-cut double pilasters.

The interior of the church shows groin vaults on girders with pillars with strong cornice capitals. The cornice capitals are cranked on the drawn-in round-arched front arch. The three-axis west gallery is curved.

Furnishing

The high altar from the first third of the 18th century was later changed. The high altar painting and the tabernacle are from the 19th century.

The organ was built by the Mauracher brothers in 1927 .
