The J. Safra Sarasin Swiss Open Gstaad 2019 was a tennis tournament that took place in Gstaad from July 22nd to 28th, 2019 . It was part of the ATP Tour 2019 and was played outdoors on sand. In the same week, the BB&T Atlanta Open and Hamburg the Hamburg European Open were played in Atlanta . The latter belonged to the ATP World Tour 500 category , while the other two tournaments belonged to the lower endowed ATP World Tour 250 category .

The defending champion in the singles was Matteo Berrettini . Berrettini was also successful in doubles last year alongside Daniele Bracciali .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each received a bye in the first round. The total prize money was 524,340 euros; the total financial liabilities were 586,140 euros.

The qualification took place on July 20 and 21, 2019. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
