The ASB Classic 2019 was a tennis tournament that took place in Auckland from January 7th to 12th, 2019 . It was part of the ATP Tour 2019 and was played outdoors on hard courts. In the same week, the Sydney International was played in Sydney , which, like the ASB Classic, was part of the ATP World Tour 250 category .

Last year's individual winner was Roberto Bautista Agut . In doubles, the duo Oliver Marach and Mate Pavić won the tournament last year.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each received a bye in the first round.

qualification

The qualification took place on January 5th and 6th, 2019. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament. There were also two lucky losers.
