The Swiss Indoors Basel 2019 was a tennis tournament that took place in Basel from October 21 to 27, 2019 . It was part of the ATP Tour 2019 and was played indoors on hard court. In the same week, the Erste Bank Open was played in Vienna , which, like the Swiss Indoors, belonged to the ATP World Tour 500 category . The venue for the tournament was the St. Jakobshalle , which is located just behind the Basel city limits in Münchenstein .

Last year's winners were Roger Federer in singles and Dominic Inglot and Franko Škugor in doubles . Federer was able to defend his title. He won his 10th tournament victory in Basel.

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The total financial commitments were 2,082,655 euros, the prize money was 2,219,975 euros.

qualification

The qualification took place on October 19 and 20, 2019 in the St. Jakobshalle . Four qualifying places in the individual competition and one place in the doubles competition were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
