The Davidoff Swiss Indoors Basel 2004 was a tennis tournament that took place from October 26th to 31st, 2004 in Basel . It was part of the ATP Tour 2004 and was played indoors on carpet. The venue for the tournament was the St. Jakobshalle , which is located just behind the Basel city limits in Münchenstein .

Defending champion in the singles was Guillermo Coria , who no longer took part in the tournament this year. In this year's final, Jiří Novák won against David Nalbandian from Argentina in five sets. For Novák it was already the second tournament victory in the current year after winning the tournament in Tokyo in October. Overall, it was his seventh win on the ATP World Tour. In doubles, Mark Knowles and Daniel Nestor were the defending champions, but they were eliminated in the semi-finals. The brothers Bob and Mike Bryan won the final in straight sets against Lucas Arnold Ker and Mariano Hood . For the Bryan brothers it was the second title in Basel after 2002. This was the sixth double title for the two of them this year.

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs.
