Cyril Suk (born January 29, 1967 in Prague , then ČSSR ) is a former Czech tennis player .

Career

Suk comes from a tennis family. His mother Věra Suková was in the 1962 women's Wimbledon finals, his father Cyril was President of the Czechoslovak Tennis Association and his older sister Helena Suková was also a very successful tennis player.

With his sister Helena, Cyril won three Grand Slam titles in mixed. With Sandon Stolle he was also successful in the men's doubles at the US Open in 1998 . There were also 31 double titles on the ATP Tour , eleven of them alongside his compatriot Martin Damm . With Larisa Neiland he won another mixed title at Wimbledon.

Suk achieved his best position in the double world rankings in April 1994 with seventh place. In the single world rankings, the double specialist did not go beyond 180th place.

From 2003 to 2006 Cyril Suk was the captain of the Czech Davis Cup team .
