Joshua Eagle (born May 10, 1973 in Toowoomba , Queensland ) is a retired Australian tennis player .

Life

Eagle was able to win five tournaments in doubles in his career and reach the final in another 19 doubles competitions. In 2001 he was able to move into the finals of the mixed competition of the Australian Open alongside Barbara Schett , with whom he is now married and has a son . The couple lost there in straight sets against Corina Morariu and Ellis Ferreira . His highest single placement was a 219th place in 1994. In April 2001 he was able to move up to 11th place in the double ranking of the tennis world rankings .

Eagle retired in 2004 after the Wimbledon tournament .
