The Porto ATP tournament (officially Oporto Open , Maia Open in 1996 ) is a former tennis tournament that took place in Porto in 1995 and 1996 . The game was played outdoors on clay. Neither in singles nor in doubles has a player succeeded in winning both events. In 1996, Emanuel Couto and Bernardo Mota, two local players, won the doubles competition. The tournament was held as part of the ATP World Series , the predecessor series of the ATP World Tour 250 .

The tournament between Roland Garros and Wimbledon was scheduled , after his departure from the tour calendar, the tournament in Bologna took over this date. In 2001 and 2002 a women's tournament was also held in Porto .
