The Citrix Tennis Championships 2000 were the 8th edition of the tennis hard court tournament in Delray Beach . It was the second time that this tournament was held in Delray Beach, previously the location was Coral Springs . The tournament was part of the male ATP series as the International Series tournament . It took place together with the Copenhagen Open and the Chevrolet Cup in Santiago de Chile from February 28 to March 5, 2000. The prize pool was $ 325,000 for both the singles and doubles. In singles, 32 players competed against each other, in doubles there were 16 pairings.

The defending champion in the individual tournament was the Australian Lleyton Hewitt , who did not take part in this tournament this year. Instead, the six seeded Austrian Stefan Koubek won his only title of the 2000 season . He won in the final against the qualifier Álex Calatrava from Spain in three sets. It was the second tournament success of his career.

In doubles, the unset pairing consisting of Brian MacPhie and Nenad Zimonjić won . Zimonjić thus defended his title, which he won the year before with Max Mirny . Mirny failed on three set with his partner Mark Knowles in the semifinals. For Zimonjić it was the first title of the season and his second double success overall, for MacPhie also the second career title, but the only success of the season.
