The Copenhagen Open 2000 was the 14th edition of the indoor tennis tournament in Copenhagen . The tournament was played on hard court and belonged to the International Series category of the ATP Tour . It took place parallel to the Chevrolet Cup and the Citrix Tennis Championships from February 28 to March 5, 2000. The prize money for both the singles and doubles tournaments was $ 325,000. In singles, 32 players competed against each other, in doubles there were 16 pairings.

The defending champion in the singles was the Swede Magnus Gustafsson , who had already won in 1999 but did not compete this time. It was won by his fellow countryman Andreas Vinciguerra , who was able to celebrate his first title on the tour. He defeated Magnus Larsson in straight sets in the all-Swedish final .

Martin Damm from the Czech Republic and David Prinosil from Germany won in doubles . You succeeded Andrei Olchowski and Max Mirny . Neither did they defend their title this year. For Damm it was the first win of the season and the 16th of his career. With this success Prinosil celebrated the seventh double success of his career and the first of the season.
