The ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament 2000 was the 28th edition of the indoor tennis tournament in Rotterdam . The tournament was part of the male ATP series as the International Series Gold tournament . It took place from February 14th to 20th, 2000 on the Ahoy Rotterdam facility and coincided with the Kroger / St. Jude International in Memphis the first tournament of this division of the season . The prize money was $ 750,000 for both the singles and doubles. In singles, 32 players competed against each other, in doubles there were 16 pairings.

The defending champion in the individual was the Russian Jewgeni Kafelnikow , who was top seed this year but failed in the semi-finals. Instead, the Frenchman Cédric Pioline won his first and only title at an International Series Gold tournament and his first title in the 2000 season. It was the fourth title win of his career.

In doubles, the South African pairing David Adams and John-Laffnie de Jager successfully defended their title from last year. This was the second overall success of this double constellation and the first in the 2000 season.
