Grand Prix Hassan II 2000

The Grand Prix Hassan II 2000 was the 14th edition of the tennis clay court tournament in Casablanca . The tournament was part of the male ATP series as the International Series tournament . It took place in conjunction with the Galleryfurniture.com Tennis Challenge in Atlanta and the Estoril Open from April 10-16, 2000. The prize pool was $ 325,000 for both the singles and doubles. In singles, 32 players competed against each other, in doubles there were 16 pairings.

The defending champion of the individual competition was the Spaniard Alberto Martín , who failed in the first round this year. His compatriot Fernando Vicente , who was sixth and who was also in the final last year, won. It was his first title of the season and the second of his career.

In doubles, the French pairing consisting of Arnaud Clément and Sébastien Grosjean , who entered the tournament as lucky losers, won . For both Frenchmen it was the first title of their careers. The two Brazilian defending champions Fernando Meligeni and Jaime Oncins did not compete this year.
