The Scania Stockholm Open 2000 was the 31st edition of the indoor tennis tournament there . The tournament was part of the ATP series for the last time as the International Series tournament . It took place together with the Samsung Open in Brighton in the last game week before the Tennis Master Cups from November 20 to 26, 2000 and was played on a hard court surface. The prize pool for both singles and doubles was $ 775,000. In singles, 32 players competed against each other, in doubles there were 16 pairings.

The individual tournament was won by the unseeded Swede Thomas Johansson , who replaced his compatriot and three-time winner Thomas Enqvist as the title holder. Enqvist lost in the opening round against the eventual winner. For Johansson it was the only title this season and the fourth of his career.

The defending champions in doubles were South African Piet Norval and Kevin Ullyett from Zimbabwe, who neither took part in the tournament this year. Instead, Daniel Nestor from Canada and Mark Knowles from the Bahamas won. For Nestor it was the fourth title of the season, of which he was able to achieve the first three with Sébastien Lareau . Knowles celebrated the second success in 2000 after his victory in Doha at the side of Max Mirny . It was the 14th double success of his career and Nestor's 16. Most of their titles they won as partners.
