Thomas Johansson (born March 24,  1975 in Linköping ) is a former Swedish  tennis player .
Career
The greatest success of his career was winning the 2002 Australian Open in Melbourne . In 2005 he made it to the semifinals at Wimbledon . Together with Simon Aspelin he won the silver medal in doubles at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing ; he lost in the final to the Swiss Roger Federer and Stanislas Wawrinka .
Between 1998 and 2009 he played 17 games for the Swedish Davis Cup team .
In June 2009 he announced his retirement from professional tennis.
