Adidas Open de Toulouse 2000
The Adidas Open de Toulouse 2000 was the 19th and final edition of the indoor tennis tournament in Toulouse . The tournament was part of the ATP series as an International Series tournament, but was no longer included in the calendar for the next season. It took place together with the Heineken Open in Shanghai from October 16-22, 2000 and was played on hard court. The prize pool for both singles and doubles was $ 350,000. In singles, 32 players competed against each other, in doubles there were 16 pairings.
The defending champion in the singles was Frenchman Nicolas Escudé , who failed in the quarterfinals this year without being seeded. Instead, the top seeded Spaniard Àlex Corretja won . This was the Spaniard's fifth win of the season and the 14th title of his career.
In doubles, the two seeded French pair consisting of Julien Boutter and Fabrice Santoro won . They succeeded the French Olivier Delaître and Jeff Tarango from the USA, who both did not run this year. Santoro already won a title in Toulouse in 1998 with Delaître. It was his first double title in 2000 and the seventh of his career. For Boutter this success was the second of the season and his career at all. It was the first title of the two French in this constellation.
