RCA Championships 2000

The 2000 RCA Championships were the 13th edition of the Indianapolis tennis tournament . The tournament was part of the male ATP series as the International Series Gold tournament . It took place at the same time as the tournament in Washington from August 14th to 20th, 2000 at the Indianapolis Tennis Center on hard court. The prize money was $ 700,000 for both the singles and doubles tournaments. In singles, 56 players competed against each other, in doubles there were 28 pairings.

Defending champion in the singles was the Ecuadorian Nicolás Lapentti , who failed with six seeded in the third round this year. Instead, the Brazilian Gustavo Kuerten won his fourth title of the season . This was his second success in an International Series gold tournament and the ninth title of his career.

In doubles, the Australian pairing Lleyton Hewitt and Sandon Stolle won , this title being the second double title of the season for Stolle and the first for Hewitt. The defending champions Jared Palmer and Paul Haarhuis both did not compete this year.
