The Cerveza Club Columbia Open 2000 was the 6th edition of the tennis clay court tournament in Bogotá . In the 2000 season, after a year break, the tournament was again part of the International Series and thus part of the male ATP series . It took place together with the Franklin Templeton Tennis Classics from March 6th to 12th, 2000. The prize pool for both singles and doubles was $ 350,000. In singles, 32 players competed against each other, in doubles there were 16 pairings.

The defending champion in the singles from 1998 was the Argentine Mariano Zabaleta , who did not run this year. Instead, his unsettled compatriot Mariano Puerta won , who celebrated his first title of the season and the second title of his career.

In doubles, the Argentine pairing consisting of Pablo Albano and Lucas Arnold Ker also won . They succeeded their compatriots Diego del Río and this year's individual winner Puerta.
