The If Stockholm Open 2012 was a tennis tournament that took place from October 15th to 21st, 2012 in Stockholm . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2012 and was played indoors on a hard court. In the same week the Kremlin Cup was played in Moscow and the Erste Bank Open in Vienna , which, like the If Stockholm Open, belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

Last year's winner in the individual was Gaël Monfils , who no longer participated this year. In the final, the two top seeders faced each other. The Czech Tomáš Berdych won in three sets against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga . For Berdych, after the win in Montpellier, it was his second title this year and his eighth title overall on the ATP World Tour . In doubles, Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi were the defending champions. While Bopanna did not participate this year, Qureshi played alongside Jean-Julien Rojer and was eliminated in the semifinals against Marcelo Melo and Bruno Soares . The Brazilian duo also won the final against Robert Lindstedt and Nenad Zimonjić in three sets. For the duo it was the fourth joint title, the first of which this year.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players each received a bye into the second round.
