Zopp celebrated his first title on the Challenger Tour in February 2012. In Kazan he prevailed against Marius Copil in two sets , which meanwhile promoted him to 121st place in the world rankings. He made his Grand Slam debut in 2012 at the Australian Open when he qualified for the main draw for the first time. In the first round, however, he defeated James Duckworth smoothly in three sets. At the tournament in Bucharest in 2012, Zopp qualified again for the main draw of an ATP World Tour tournament and met the Romanian Victor Crivoi in the first round . With 6: 3, 6: 3, Zopp kept the upper hand and secured his first victory in a main field on the World Tour. In the subsequent round of 16 against the German qualifier Daniel Brands , however, he clearly missed the quarter-finals and was defeated in two sets. At the Grand Slam tournaments in Roland Garros and Wimbledon , Zopp qualified for the main draw, as he did in Melbourne, but failed in the opening game. In Båstad he then reached the quarter-finals of a World Tour tournament for the first time. At the US Open , Zopp was directly in the main field of a Grand Slam for the first time due to his world rankings. With a 3-1 victory over Denis Istomin , who was almost 50 places ahead of Zopp in the world rankings, he also made it into the second round of a slam for the first time. The season ended for him with a defeat in the round of 16 in Stockholm .
Jürgen Zopp did not start the 2013 season until May in Nice and at the French Open due to a back injury . Thanks to the protected ranking system , he started directly in the main field in Roland Garros, including in Wimbledon and the US Open, but never got past the first round. In the world rankings, he dropped out of the top 300 before the end of the year. Also in 2014 he missed the Australian Open because of his injury. It was not until March 2014 that he made his comeback at a challenger tournament in Kazan . In the course of the season he missed the qualification for a main field on the World Tour several times, he also played some Challenger and Future tournaments. By the end of the season he had improved from 335th to 189th place.
In 2015 he only managed to qualify for a main draw on the World Tour twice. On the Challenger Tour, he rarely reached the quarter-finals in his individual participations. His best result was taking part in the finals in Ningbo at the end of October . In doubles he won his second career title in Nanjang . There was no increase in the 2016 season. His greatest successes were several quarter-finals and a semi-final on the Challenger Tour. It wasn't until October that he succeeded in qualifying for a main field on the World Tour in Stockholm , he reached the round of 16. At the same time, it was his last game of the season. While he was consistently placed in the top 200 of the world rankings in the 2015 season, he steadily fell back in 2016 and ended the year at 329th place. In mid-2017 he fell again to rank 500 and therefore played more and more on the Future Tour during the season and had to compete in the qualifying fields on the Challenger Tour. In September he won his third individual title on the Challenger Tour in Alphen aan den Rijn .
Zopp has been playing for the Estonian Davis Cup team since 2006 . He is the best-placed tennis player from Estonia so far.
