The Campbell's Hall of Fame Tennis Championships 2012 was a tennis tournament that took place from July 9th to 15th, 2012 in Newport . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2012 and will be played on grass. In the same week the SkiStar Swedish Open was played in Båstad , the MercedesCup in Stuttgart and the ATP Vegeta Croatia Open in Umag , which, like the Campbell's Hall of Fame Tennis Championships, belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

In singles, John Isner went on to defend his title, he reached the final again this year, where he defeated Lleyton Hewitt , who was equipped with a wildcard . With this victory, which is Isner's first in the current season, he was able to break the so-called casino curse again after the previous year . Last year Matthew Ebden and Ryan Harrison won the doubles title. Ebden played with a new partner this year, but was eliminated in the first round. In the final, the Mexican-American duo Santiago González and Scott Lipsky defeated the British Colin Fleming and Ross Hutchins . For González and Lipsky, this was the second joint title and the first in the current season.

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs.
