The Campbell's Hall of Fame Tennis Championships 2008 was a tennis tournament that took place from July 7th to 13th, 2008 in Newport . It was part of the ATP Tour 2008 and was played outdoors on grass. In the same week the Allianz Suisse Open was played in Gstaad , the Catella Swedish Open in Båstad and the Mercedes Cup in Stuttgart . The latter was part of the International Series Gold , while the tournaments in Gstaad, Newport and Båstad were part of the International Series .

Fabrice Santoro was the defending champion in the singles to defend his title this year. In the final, the second seeding list won 6: 3, 7: 5 against Prakash Amritraj in two sets . Santoro won his first title of the year and sixth overall; Amritraj played his first and only singles final on the ATP Tour at the tournament. Jordan Kerr and Jim Thomas were successful in doubles the previous year. Only Thomas started again and was eliminated in the first round. In the final the local heroes Mardy Fish and John Isner prevailed 6: 4, 7: 6 1 against Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The total prize pool was $ 360,000 and total financial liabilities were $ 385,000.

The qualification took place from July 5th to 6th, 2008. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
