Owen Thomas "Tripp" Phillips III (born August 26, 1977 in Newport News ) is a retired American tennis player .

Career

The double specialist won 15 titles on the ATP Challenger Tour and two more on the ATP Tour level in the course of his career . Both times he won the ATP Tour with his Australian partner Ashley Fisher , with whom he also reached the semifinals of the US Open in 2006 . This was Phillips' best Grand Slam result .

He achieved his highest position in the tennis world rankings in singles with rank 343 on May 19, 2003 and in doubles with rank 29 on October 9, 2006.
