The US Men's Clay Court Championships 2008 was a tennis tournament that took place from April 14th to 20th, 2008 in Houston . It was part of the ATP Tour 2008 and was played outdoors on a clay court. In the same week the Open de Tenis Comunidad Valenciana and in Estoril the Estoril Open were played in Valencia , which, like the US Men's Clay Court Championships, belonged to the category of the ATP International Series .

Defending champion in the singles was Ivo Karlović , who did not start again this year. The individual competition was won by the Spaniard Marcel Granollers 6: 4, 1: 6, 7: 5 against the American James Blake and thus won his first title on the ATP tour after his first finals in both singles and doubles reached. The brothers Bob and Mike Bryan were victorious in doubles the previous year. They didn’t run in 2008 either. In the final, the pairing Ernests Gulbis and Rainer Schüttler won 7: 5, 7: 6 3 against Pablo Cuevas and Marcel Granollers.

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The total prize money was 411,000 euros, the total financial liabilities were 436,000 euros.

The qualification took place from April 13-14, 2008. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
