The BNP Paribas Masters 2008 was a tennis tournament that took place from October 26th to November 2nd, 2008 in Paris . It was part of the ATP Tour 2008 and was played indoors on a hard court. This season it was the last of nine tournaments in the  ATP Masters Series .

David Nalbandian was the defending champion in the singles, who advanced to the final again this year as seeding list eight, but had to admit defeat to 13 seeded Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in three sets with 3: 6, 6: 4, 4: 6. Tsonga won his second title after winning the tournament in Bangkok . In doubles, Bob and Mike Bryan were successful last year, this year they were eliminated in their first match against Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski . This year's final won Jonas Björkman and Kevin Ullyett against Jeff Coetzee and Wesley Moodie 6: 2, 6: 2.

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 48 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 24 pairs. The 16 seeded players in singles and eight pairings in doubles each got a bye into the second round. The total prize money was 2,057,000 euros; the total financial liabilities were 2,270,000 euros.

qualification

The qualification took place from October 24th to 25th, 2008. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament. There were also two lucky losers.
