Andy Murray defended his title from the previous year in the individual. In the final, the first seeding list from Great Britain won in two sets with 6: 1, 6: 1 against Kazakhs Andrei Golubew , who started as a qualifier in the main draw, and celebrated his eighth individual title. For Golubew it was the first final of his career. Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjić were successful in doubles last year, but they did not compete again this year. In the final, Travis Parrott and Filip Polášek prevailed against Rohan Bopanna and Max Mirny with 3: 6, 7: 6 4 , [10: 8].
The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The total prize money was $ 1,024,000; total financial liabilities were $ 1,049,000.
The qualification took place from October 18-20, 2008. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
The following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round.
