The Open Sabadell Atlantico Barcelona 2008 was a tennis tournament that took place from April 28th to May 4th, 2008 in Barcelona . It was part of the ATP Tour 2008 and was played outdoors on sand. In the same week the BMW Open was played in Munich , which, in contrast to the Sabadell Atlantico Barcelona Open, which belonged to the International Series Gold category, only belonged to the International Series category .

The winner of the individual competition was defending champion and seeding list first Rafael Nadal , who had now won four titles in a row (25 individual titles in total). In the final he prevailed against his compatriot David Ferrer 6: 1, 4: 6, 6: 1. In doubles, the brothers Bob and Mike Bryan won their second title in Barcelona after 2003. The Bryans won the final against Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski in straight sets 6: 3 and 6: 2, which meant their 46th joint title. Last year's winners Alexander Waske and Andrei Pavel did not take part in the tournament again.

The eight top seeded players in singles or pairings in doubles each got a bye into the second round. The total prize money was 803,000 euros, the total financial liabilities were 824,000 euros.
