Agustín Calleri (born September 14, 1976 in Río Cuarto ) is a former Argentinian tennis player and now a politician and official.
Career
The right-handed player, who lives in Buenos Aires , has been a professional player since 1995. In his career he was able to win two ATP tournaments in singles and three ATP tournaments in doubles. His best placement in the ATP world rankings is 16th in 2003.
He also won the 2007 World Team Cup with his country in the final against the Czech Republic. He was able to win his doubles together with Juan Ignacio Chela . In February 2010, at the age of 33, he retired from professional sports.
After an active sports career
Calleri was elected to the Cámara de Diputados de la Nación Argentina in 2016 for the UCR party as a member of the Cámara de Diputados de la Nación Argentina .
Since 2018 he has been President of the Argentine Tennis Association AAT.
