The Artois Championships 2008 was a tennis tournament that took place from June 9th to 15th, 2008. It was part of the ATP Tour 2008 and was played outdoors on grass. In the same week the Gerry Weber Open was played in Halle and the Warsaw Open in Warsaw . Like the Artois Championships, both belong to the International Series category .

Andy Roddick was the defending champion in the singles, who lost this year in the semifinals to the eventual winner Rafael Nadal . He won the final against Novak Đoković 7: 6 6 , 7: 5. That meant Nadal's fifth title in 2008 and his 28th overall. Mark Knowles and Daniel Nestor were successful in doubles last year, but this year they competed with other partners. While Knowles was eliminated in the quarterfinals, Nestor was able to defend his title with Nenad Zimonjić . In the final they prevailed 6: 4, 7: 6 3 against the Brazilians Marcelo Melo and André Sá .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 56 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 24 pairs. The total prize money was 692,000 euros, the total financial liabilities were 713,000 euros.
