Robert "Bobby" Thomas Reynolds (born July 17, 1982 in Barnstable County , Massachusetts ) is a retired American tennis player .
life and career
Reynolds attended Harrison High School in Kennesaw , Georgia, and graduated from there in 2000.
In 2003 he led the Vanderbilt University tennis team to the finals of the National Collegiate Athletic Association tennis championships , where he a. a. Amer Delic and was named Most Valuable Player . In the same year he finished the season as the number one tennis junior in the United States with a balance of 46: 7.
In 2004 he first took part in a Grand Slam tournament , the US Open , thanks to a wildcard . Australian Open . He lost in the first round. In 2005 in Melbourne he defeated Nicolás Almagro and Andrei Pavel before he had to admit defeat to Rafael Nadal in the third round . He was able to reach the third round again in 2009 at Wimbledon. In doubles, he did not get past the second round three times. He won his only title on the ATP World Tour in 2006 in doubles with Andy Roddick at the tournament in Indianapolis , where they beat Paul Goldstein and Jim Thomas 6: 4, 6: 4 in the final . In addition, he won a total of 35 tournaments in the second-rate Challenger category, 10 of them in singles. He achieved the highest position in the tennis world rankings in early 2009 with 63rd place.
On July 25, 2014, he ended his career after the Challenger in Tallahassee .
