history

Before the founding of the Challenger tournament, so-called satellite tournaments - roughly the predecessor of the future tournaments - were held on the grounds of the Philcrest Hills Tennis Club in Tulsa from 1988 to 1998 for players in the world rankings 400 to 1,000. In October 1999 the new event belonging to the Challenger Tour was held for the first time. The Brazilian André Sá emerged as the winner .

After the tournament did not take place in 2003 and 2004, the tournament returned to Tulsa in 2005.

The last edition of the tournament took place in 2011; Since 2014 the Tulsa Pro Championships , a tournament of the ITF Future Tour , have been held on the site every year .

The record winner is Bobby Reynolds , who won the singles and doubles competition three times. The most famous participants in gymnastics history include John Isner , Sam Querrey and Tommy Haas as well as the brothers Bob and Mike Bryan .
