The Samarkand Challenger (official name: Samarkand Challenger ) is held annually since 1996-find tennis tournament in Samarkand , Uzbekistan . It is part of the ATP Challenger Tour and is played outdoors on sand. In 1997 the tournament was not part of the Challenger Tour, but was resumed and played a year later. In the individual, Teimuras Gabashvili and Oleg Ogorodov each won the title twice. In doubles, several players also won the title twice.
