Melle van Gemerden (born May 9, 1979 in Amsterdam ) is a Dutch tennis player .

Career

Until 2008 Melle van Gemerden played regularly in tournaments of the ATP Challenger Tour and the ITF Future Tour in both singles and doubles. Occasionally he also played on the ATP World Tour and reached the second round at the Wimbledon Championships in 2006 , where he ultimately failed due to Mardy Fish . Overall, he has so far celebrated one single and three double victories on the Challenger Tour. From 2009 to 2013 he did not play a single game on the tour. In the 2014 season, however, he played again at the side of his compatriot Thiemo de Bakker at the US Men's Clay Court Championships in Houston , but failed in the first round.

In 2005 and 2006 he took part in the Davis Cup for the Dutch Davis Cup team , but lost all of his four games.
