Attila Sávolt (born February 5, 1976 in Budapest ) is a former Hungarian tennis player .

Career

Sávolt was particularly successful on the second-rate Challenger Tour . He has won thirteen Challenger titles in his career, six of them singles and seven doubles. On the ATP Tour in 2001 he was in the final in Sopot , but lost alongside Irakli Labadze against the Australians Paul Hanley and Nathan Healey . In Grand Slam tournaments he was able to reach the third round at the French Open in 2000 and 2003.

He participated in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney . He competed in both singles and doubles. In the singles he met Paradorn Srichaphan in the opening round in the Philippines , to whom he lost 2: 6, 6: 4, 5: 7. In the doubles competition he was eliminated on the side of Gábor Köves also in the first round. They lost in three sets against the Italians Cristian Brandi and Massimo Bertolini .

Sávolt played a total of 13 games for the Hungarian Davis Cup team between 1996 and 2002 . Both his individual record with 12:11 wins and his double record with 8: 4 wins are positive.
