Jaroslav Pospíšil (born February 9, 1981 in Prostějov ) is a Czech tennis player .

Career

Pospíšil has already won 15 tournaments on the ATP Challenger Tour in his career . He only plays sporadically on the ATP World Tour and has only taken part in a Grand Slam tournament once. In 2011 he played at Wimbledon as a substitute in the first round against the Romanian Victor Hănescu , but lost significantly in three sets with 4: 6, 3: 6 and 2: 6. In the same year he was in the main draw in Zagreb , London and Stuttgart , but lost all of his opening games. His best result so far in doubles is two semi-finals at the ATP tournaments in Palermo and Umag . In Palermo he played alongside Jan Hájek and was eliminated in two sets in the semi-finals against eventual tournament winners Martín Alberto García and Mariano Hood . In Umag he played together with Blaž Kavčič and was eliminated in three sets against the Croatian doubles Marin Čilić and Lovro Zovko .
