Petru-Alexandru Luncanu (born May 7, 1989 in Bucharest ) is a Romanian tennis player .

Career

Petru-Alexandru Luncanu mainly plays on the ATP Challenger Tour and the ITF Future Tour . So far, he has celebrated 8 single and 17 double victories on the Future Tour. On the Challenger Tour he won the doubles tournament in Sibiu in 2015.

On the World Tour he got a wildcard for the main field for the first time in Bucharest in 2009 , where he lost to Marcel Granollers in the first round . For the tournament in St. Petersburg in the same year he was able to qualify with three wins in qualification, but lost to Jérémy Chardy in the first round of the main field. In doubles he got a wildcard for a main field for the first time in Bucharest in 2008 , where he met Denis Gremelmayr and Frank Moser on the side of Marius Copil in the first round and clearly lost in two sets. The same happened in 2009 in Bucharest on the side of Adrian Cruciat against Łukasz Kubot and Oliver Marach and in 2011 also in Bucharest on the side of Victor Crivoi against Daniele Bracciali and Potito Starace .

Petru-Alexandru Luncanu has played for the Romanian Davis Cup team since 2012 . For this he competed in an encounter, where he has a balance of 0: 2 in the individual.
