The ATP Challenger Nottingham (official name: AEGON Nottingham Challenge ) was a tennis tournament held between 2011 and 2014 in Nottingham , United Kingdom . It was part of the ATP Challenger Tour and was played outdoors on grass. Together with the second Challenger tournament, the Aegon Trophy , taking place a week earlier as part of the Nottingham Tennis Festival , it is the only grass tournament on the Challenger Tour. Due to the early timing of the event, it begins before the actual lawn season of the higher-class ATP tournaments.
