The ATP Challenger Mexico City (official name: CDMX Open ) is a tennis tournament in Mexico City that was held from 1988 to 2009. In 2013 there was another edition, from 2018 it will be played again. It is part of the ATP Challenger Tour and is played outdoors. In the first year the tournament was played on hard court, before it was played on clay from 1990 to 1999. The tournament was then played on clay for a year before returning to the hard court. Hard court has been played since 2008. In 2018 there was another switch to sand as a playing surface. Ramón Delgado was once able to defend his title as the individual winner, something that no other player has ever achieved in this tournament. The players Pablo Albano , Tripp Phillips and Carsten Ball each won the double competition twice.
