The ATP Challenger Ismaning (officially Wolffkran Open ) is a tennis tournament in Ismaning that will be held for the first time in 2017. It is part of the ATP Challenger Tour and is played indoors on carpet.
The tournament took place on the facility of the TC Ismaning and will be located there for the long term. There is a 3-year agreement with the title sponsor, Wolffkran Holding AG , so that the tournaments are already secured until 2019. The Wolffkran Open is organized by Tennisspirit GbR with the two partners Florian Kainz and Peter Aurnhammer. Aurnhammer also acts as the tournament director.
In the first edition, the Wolffkran Open reached around 5,000 spectators during the tournament week. A special highlight was Boris Becker's visit to a panel discussion on the future of German men's tennis organized by the German Tennis Association on the tournament grounds. Yannick Hanfmann won his first Challenger title on the first edition.
