Cressy played his first tournaments in 2016 on the third-rate ITF Future Tour . There he won his first doubles title in 2017 alongside Ugo Humbert . This was followed by eight more in the following year, as a result of which he improved by over 850 places in the world rankings and in December reached his previous career high of 260th place. From 2015 to 2019, Cressy also studied at UCLA , where he also played college tennis . In January 2019 he made his debut on the higher endowed ATP Challenger Tour in Columbus . At the side of Bernardo Saraiva he made it into the final - in the quarter-finals they beat the top seeded duo Romain Arneodo and Andrej Wassileuski - where they defeated the American pairing Robert Galloway and Nathaniel Lammons . In February he won his first individual title in Cleveland .
